Asylum (I-589) Payment

If your I-589 application has been pending with the immigration court (EOIR) prior to October 1, 2024, the federal government might be requiring you pay an annual asylum fee ($100) on or before September 30, 2025. The guidance is not clear, and the Court Administrator for Salt Lake City says that there is no option yet to pay, so we feel you do NOT need to pay, but you can still decide to pay with these instructions

Know Your Rights

If you, a loved one, or a neighbor has been affected by the recent orders of the President, please contact your Representatives and Senators to remind them that under the US Constitution it is their job to determine immigration standards and not the President. They need to put an end to mandates, just like mandating police to make so many tickets per day, it really is less effective to make America more secure because the bad guys don’t put in the process as ICE is too busy collecting your neighbors etc.
